Northpoint Technologies Limited ("Northpoint", "we", "us") is based in Hong Kong. This policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with this website and enquiries about our sourcing, procurement, IT hardware and software licensing activities. We handle personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong. Separate notices or agreements may apply to software platforms and services used after an enquiry.
You may provide your name, company, business email address, telephone number, enquiry details and related correspondence. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry and avoid sending identity documents, passwords, payment card details or sensitive personal information through this website. If you provide another person's details, ensure you are authorised to do so and that they are aware of this policy.
Our hosting and embedded service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, pages requested and access times when delivering and securing the website. This does not mean we personally receive every item processed by those providers.
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, assess requirements, prepare proposals or quotations, discuss licensing, arrange requested follow-up and maintain relevant business correspondence. We may also use it to administer and protect the website, address complaints, meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal rights. We do not use personal data for an unrelated new purpose without the consent required by law, unless a lawful exemption applies.
Submitting an enquiry is voluntary. Fields marked as required are needed to process that enquiry; without sufficient contact information and details, we may be unable to respond or provide the requested assistance. Other fields are optional. Please keep information accurate and tell us if it changes.
Access is limited to authorised personnel and recipients who need the information for the purposes described above. Recipients may include providers of website hosting, forms, email, cloud storage and IT support; suppliers, inspection providers and logistics partners where necessary to assess or fulfil your request; and professional advisers. We may disclose information to authorities or other parties where required or permitted by law, or where reasonably necessary to establish or defend legal rights. We do not sell personal data or provide it to third parties for their own direct marketing.
This website uses Google Sites. Where a Google Form is used, Google also processes information submitted through that form. Hosting, communication and other service providers may process or store personal data outside Hong Kong. We take practicable steps, including appropriate contractual or other safeguards, to protect personal data handled on our behalf and to restrict its use, retention and access to the relevant purposes.
Google Sites and embedded services may use cookies or similar technologies to provide functions, maintain preferences and protect their services. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking them may affect site functions. We do not currently deploy advertising pixels or optional visitor analytics on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any notices and choices required by applicable law.
Links to external websites and product platforms are provided for convenience. Their operators apply their own privacy practices. Please review the relevant notice before providing information to those services. Information about Google's practices is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including relevant business follow-up, legal obligations and the handling of disputes. Retention depends on the nature of the enquiry and any resulting relationship. We review information held and take practicable steps to delete or anonymise data that is no longer needed, subject to lawful retention requirements.
We take practicable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, loss, alteration or erasure, and restrict access according to business need. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. If we propose to use your personal data for direct marketing, we will first provide the required information and obtain the consent required by Hong Kong law. You may ask us to stop direct marketing at any time without charge by emailing info@northpoint.com.hk.
You may request access to personal data we hold about you and correction of inaccurate data, subject to the Ordinance. We may request information reasonably needed to verify your identity and locate the records. We handle requests within the applicable statutory periods, generally 40 days for access or correction requests, subject to the Ordinance's exceptions and notification requirements. A non-excessive fee may apply to a data access request; we will inform you of any fee.
Address requests or complaints to the Privacy Contact, Northpoint Technologies Limited, at info@northpoint.com.hk, or 12F Tower 3, China Hong Kong City, 33 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data at https://www.pcpd.org.hk. We may update this policy; the date above identifies the current version. Changes do not themselves authorise unrelated uses of previously collected data.
